The general purposes of the Section shall be the promotion of the objectives of the State Bar within the field of child, family and matrimonial law. The Section shall promote continuing legal education in this field and endeavor to upgrade the practice of child, family and matrimonial law in Montana. The Section may lobby for Section-approved or initiated legislation in the field of child, family and matrimonial law.
Mediating Cases Touched by Domestic Violence- A Two Part Training Series (agenda)

Purpose of the training:
This training will assist both facilitative and evaluative mediators in fulfilling the Montana Law practice requirements of mediating cases where there has been, or there is reason to suspect, issues of domestic violence.
Who should attend the training?
Any trained mediator who wishes to be considered for appointment by District Court judges in the State of Montana to mediate in a case where there has been allegations of or reason to suspect domestic violence.
