A Belgrade man emphatically pleaded not guilty Wednesday to threatening a Bozeman Municipal Court judge.

James William King, 45, appeared before Gallatin County District Court Judge John Brown and entered his plea to a felony charge of threats and other improper influence in official and political matters.

When Brown asked King his plea, King responded, “categorically not guilty,” the Billings Gazette reports.
