It is National Pro Bono Week. The State Bar of Montana thanks all attorneys who give back to their community through the provision of pro bono services. There remain a great number of low-income Montanans in need of legal assistance with nowhere to turn. You may be the only help. Now through the month of November the State Bar is running a special challenge to help meet these legal needs.

The Montana Pro Bono Connect phone advice project is a program through the Montana Legal Services Association that allows you to provide phone advice at your convenience on a variety of legal issues including family law, consumer law, bankruptcy, landlord tenant, and wills and estates. Through Montana Pro Bono Connect you can provide bite-size pro bono with one or two hours of pro bono service. It's a great way to put your legal skills to work for the public good, with the added bonus of malpractice coverage through MLSA.

For each phone advice appointment taken with Montana legal services you will be entered into a drawing for free CLE certificates! To sign up for a shift, simply use this form https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DLKMND7 to choose a day, time, and subject area. For more information or to volunteer, please contact Angie Wagenhals at awagenha@mtlsa.org or by calling 406-442-9830 ext. 148.  Will you commit to helping today?
