A new anti-human-trafficking public awareness campaign began airing on Montana television stations last week.

The minute-long ad, “Demand an End,” is the result of a partnership among Attorney General Tim Fox’s office, Montana Broadcasters Association and Street Grace, a Georgia-based nonprofit aimed at ending domestic minor sex trafficking.

The ad depicts men in various styles of dress — from business suits to street clothes — doing daily errands and business, but at times appearing in animal masks. Near the end of the video, a message appears: “Domestic minor sex trafficking customers are being unmasked.”

In addition to Montana, other attorney general offices participating in the “Demand an End” campaign include those in Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Nebraska, New Mexico, and South Carolina.

The number of juvenile human trafficking victims rescued in Montana between 2015 and 2016 increased by 400 percent, according to the Division of Criminal Investigation.
