Candidate statement for Claire Lettow, Area D Trustee
After growing up in Alaska and moving to the opposite end of the continent to attend law school in Florida, I am happy to call Montana home. I moved to Great Falls in 2015 and joined the Office of the Public Defender in August 2016. Prior to moving to Montana I worked for the Alaska Department of Revenue, Tax Division writing tax regulations and ensuring the administrative procedures were followed. My career as a public defender began on the Hi-Line where I commuted from Great Falls to Havre every day for a year and a half before transferring to the Great Falls OPD office. I am currently a managing attorney and I practice primarily in felony defense. I am asking for your consideration as the second Trustee for Area D because I believe my experience and background in administrative procedure, tax, and economics leave me well suited to fulfill the duties of Trustee.
