What will you learn?
Tips and practical pointers for building a full-time (profitable) dispute resolution practice, based upon 26 years of dispute resolution experience and 16 years of full-time practice in mediation and arbitration. Dispute resolution can be a full-time profession, not just a part-time avocation or a supplement to a retirement pension.
Who is the speaker?
Mr. Jay Hunston has practiced law since 1976 and earned certification as a Florida Certified Circuit Civil Mediator in 1991, when Florida first began certifying mediators. He was later certified as a Family Mediator in 1998 and an Appellate Mediator in 2012. He was a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer from 1983 to 2003. He is admitted to practice law in both Florida and Montana and maintains an active dispute resolution practice within those states. Mr. Hunston is a charter member of the Florida Circuit-Civil Mediator Society, a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, a member of the American Arbitration Association’s Roster of Neutrals in Commercial and Construction cases, and has served as Court-Appointed Special Master in complex cases in the 15th Judicial Circuit of Florida.
