Jesse was one of the youngest Montanans ever elected to the Montana House of Representatives, serving the people of Anaconda for two terms in the Montana House before being elected and re-elected to the Montana Senate where, in 2007-2008, he had the privilege of chairing the Senate Judiciary Committee and subsequently serving as Assistant Minority Leader in 2009-2010. He has been unsuccessful in his attempts to serve as a statewide elected official.
