The Cascade County legal community will be out in full force for Law Day this year, with events planned for the entire month of May.

The American Bar Association chose "Separation of Powers" as the theme for Law Day this year, the 60th anniversary of the event. Events were planned for schools and the local senior center.

"It's a really complicated system, but one of the beautiful things about being a United States citizen is we have these rights as a democracy," Tyler Smith, a member of the bar association's executive committee, told the Great Falls Tribune. "We can maintain those rights and know what those rights are with community outreach."

Among the events was a mock trial of Harry Potter, accused of turning Draco Malfoy into a ferret. District Judge John Parker presided over the trial.
