Lindsey Simon
I am running for Area F trustee after serving in this role since my appointment last fall. I have been serving as the First Judicial District Bar Association president since 2019, and I have enjoyed the chance to get to know the attorneys in our area—and the issues they face—in that role. I have also had the opportunity throughout my legal career to work in a variety of settings from public defender offices, private law firms, non-profit organization, and now state government. This experience enables me to effectively work as a representative for a wide variety of attorneys in Area F, which I consider to the most important role of a State Bar trustee. I look forward to ensuring that the interests of the attorneys in our area continue to have their voices heard in our State Bar.
I graduated from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2008, earned an LL.M. from the University of Washington, and I practiced in regional firms in North Idaho for six years before moving to Helena in 2016 with my two dogs. Prior to joining the Department of Labor and Industry in 2021, I worked as a public benefits attorney at Montana Legal Services Association and an assistant attorney general at Agency Legal Services Bureau.
