Public Comment Invited on Community Justice Worker Program Rules
The Montana Supreme Court is accepting public comment on proposed Community Justice Worker Program Rules and associated amendments to the Rules for Admission to the Bar of Montana. The proposal would authorize certified lay advocates, known as Community Justice Workers, to provide limited legal services in certain matters in Justice Courts and City Courts.
The Court will accept public comment for 30 days from the date of its June 18, 2026 Order. Full case information, including the Order, report, and proposed rules, is available on the Montana Judicial Branch website.
