Court Adopts Rules for Appeals from Limited Jurisdiction Courts

The Montana Supreme Court has issued an Order adopting proposed amendments to the rules governing appeals from limited jurisdiction courts to district court. The rules have been renamed the Montana Uniform Limited Jurisdiction Court of Record Rules of Appeal to District Court.

The rules become effective July 1, 2026. The Order and attached rules will be posted on the Court’s website. The Order is also linked here.
