Court Amends Admission Rules for CJW Program


The Montana Supreme Court has adopted rules for the Community Justice Worker (CJW) Program and amended Rule 1 of the Rules for Admission to the Bar of the State of Montana.

The program authorizes certified lay advocates, known as Community Justice Workers, to provide limited legal services in certain civil matters in Justice and City Courts. The rules become effective January 1, 2027.
